Graduated from The University of North Texas in 1972 with a Bachelor of Business
Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
Started a business in 1973 with a contract to Dallas County to transport participants to the Dallas County Nutrition Centers (Senior Citizen Neighborhood Centers).
Grew that business from 1973 to 1994 to encompass all areas of Elderly and Handicapped transportation in Dallas County, with a variety of clients that included: the State of Texas, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Callier Center for the hearing impaired, Dallas Nephrology Centers, The Visiting Nurse Assn., Garland Rehabilitation, and dozens of other smaller service agencies. As a sole proprietor managed both the ongoing operations of a fleet of over 100 vehicles, and the staff to operate that fleet.
Designed first a paper "routing system" to efficiently handle 25,000 passenger trips each month, and subsequently designed and implemented a computer system to do the same.
Was a pioneer in the field of para-transit services in Texas. He achieved numerous accomplishments in the areas of: creating devices and methods to assist boarding of wheelchair bound passengers, training methods to prepare drivers to assist in boarding and transit of ambulatory and non-ambulatory passengers, and safety systems for this new field of service.
Sold his business in 1994 and returned to school to fulfill a life long dream of becoming a pastor, enrolling in Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University.
Began serving as a Student Pastor at Sachse Christian Church in 1996, and following his graduation from TCU in 1998 with a Masters of Divinity, remained there through the present.
Was ordained as a Minister in November 1998.
Has served in various capacities within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), including service on the Board of Directors of the North Texas Area of the Christian Church where he is Chairman elect of the Ministry Committee.
